Yemeni forces strike Ben Gurion Airport with two ballistic missiles in response to Gaza war

Yemen’s Armed Forces launched a missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, claiming it was retaliation for Israel’s war on Gaza. The attack disrupted air traffic and triggered sirens across central Israel, with Yemen warning of further operations.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Yemeni Armed Forces have launched a targeted missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, claiming it was in retaliation for Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.

The operation reportedly involved two ballistic missiles—a hypersonic Palestine 2 and a Zulfiqar missile. One of the missiles is said to have hit the airport directly, bypassing Israeli defense systems.

The strike caused major disruptions to air traffic, sent civilians into shelters, and triggered sirens across Tel Aviv, al-Quds (Jerusalem), and parts of the West Bank. Yemeni forces vowed to continue such operations until Israel ends its offensive in Gaza and lifts the blockade.

The statement also declared a no-fly zone over Ben Gurion Airport and urged all airlines to suspend flights. In response to Israeli strikes on Hodeidah, Yemen warned companies against using Haifa Port, now labeled a military target.

The Yemeni Armed Forces emphasized their determination, describing Yemen as a nation of unwavering faith and resilience, likening its people to immovable mountains.

They pledged continued support for Gaza, stating that their military actions would persist until the siege ends and hostilities cease.

President Mahdi Al-Mashat stated that Yemen’s strikes would be precise and strategic, aimed at maintaining control over the battlefield.

He also warned embassies near potential targets in Tel Aviv to relocate for safety, advising closure and evacuation if Israel fails to act.

Al-Mashat added that foreign ministries could contact Yemen’s Foreign Ministry in Sana’a for safety assessments. He noted that Yemen’s advanced missile arsenal remains largely unused but could be activated if necessary.

The Yemeni Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to supporting Gaza until Israel halts its military operations. Reports indicate that over 55,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have died in the conflict.
